Akron Zoo Summer Camp Registration Open
March 15, 2023, AKRON, Ohio – Registration is now open for the Akron Zoo’s popular summer camp, ZooCamp. Half-day and full-day weeklong camps are available for children, ages six-12.
Each week offers a different animal theme, such as art safari, animal tracks and more. Camp activities include a tour of the zoo, a chance to meet zoo staff and animal zookeepers, animal encounters and crafts. Each camper receives a camp t-shirt.
One-day camps are also available for families and teens. Junior Zookeeper Camp offers teens, ages 12-16, the opportunity to work alongside zookeepers and get a hands-on experience on what zookeepers do on a day-to-day basis.
Family Camp offers families the full camp experience and is perfect for children not ready for the longer camps. This camp includes the fun activities of ZooCamp for families, ages three and older.
Registration is available at akronzoo.org/zoocamp. Spots fill quickly.
