Akron Zoo Offering On-site ZooCamp This Summer

March 2, 2022, AKRON, Ohio – The Akron Zoo is offering its popular summer camp, ZooCamp, on-site at the zoo from June through August. Camps are available for children ages 6-12 in half-day and full-day formats.

Camp themes include amazing animals, color me wild, zoo scientists and more. Each camp includes a t-shirt, zoo tours, fun crafts and activities and up-close animal encounters. 

One-day camps are also available for families and teens, ages 13-16. The zoo’s popular Junior Zookeeper camp offers teens who are interested in working with animals a glimpse into what it is like to be a zookeeper.

Family Camp is offered for families, ages three and older. The camp is perfect for kids not ready for the full camp experience to enjoy a camp with parents.
