Akron Symphony Orchestra's Interlude Season Continues at St. Vincent-St. Mary You-Pick Flower Garden

September 2, 2020, Akron, OH — The Akron Symphony Orchestra Interlude Season returns on September 5 as Erica Snowden-Rodriguez, principal cello, and Amy Cave, assistant concertmaster, perform at the St. Vincent-St. Mary You-Pick Flower Garden.

Erica and Amy will be performing from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. while people pick from about a dozen varieties of flowers or simply enjoy the music. Attendees may bring their own blanket or lawn chair, and hay bales will also be set up for additional seating.

The event is free but donations will be accepted by the flower garden staff with 100 percent of the proceeds going to two non-profits who work to engage Akron youth in community gardening: City Sprouts Gardens and Shanti Community Farms.

Masks and social distancing are required during the event.

The flower garden is located on the corner of West Market Street and West Street, just across from the Akron Family Restaurant. The garden is open from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Be sure to look for our ASO Interlude Season sign to take a short survey and be entered to win two tickets to our opening performance in the 2021-22 season.
