Akron Children's Museum hosts Hands-On Holidays Spectacular

Do you want to build a snowman? How about meet Elsa and Anna? Join Akron Children's Museum on Dec. 2 as ACM’s Hand’s on Holiday event returns for the whole family. While the children are crafting, creating, and making their way through a series of interactive exhibits, adults will be bidding on and buying exciting items from the silent auction or the giant snowmen designed by Summit County classrooms.

From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., kids will have the opportunity to design their own cookie, get their face painted, participate in the “paint your own snowman” workshop, enjoy a live DJ and dance party, engage in interactive play sessions, meet Elsa and Anna, and more. Santa will even be stopping by to say hi.

There’s plenty of fun for the adults, including a silent auction and themed raffle baskets that will make great gifts for the holidays. The Akron Children’s Museum will also be holding a Winter Warmth Drive at this event. All new gloves, hats, socks, and scarves collected will be given to children and adults at Family Promise in Summit County.
For “ACM’s goal is to be the community’s go-to place for fun, learning, exploration, and memory-making. To achieve this goal, we need all hands on deck.  That’s what makes Hands-On Holidays special. Everyone is involved! Thanks to our dedicated event co-chairs, Ann Lowery and Adele Blazey, children will be busy playing and creating while parents and community members get to have fun while supporting the museum’s programming and growth.” said Traci Buckner, Executive Director of the Children’s Museum.

Tickets to this event are $10 per person and are now available for purchase at www.akronkids.org. Please note, space to this special museum event is limited, so be sure to purchase your tickets as soon as possible.
