Akron Children's Museum Hosts 6th Annual Hands-On Holidays

Akron, OH. Dec. 4, 2022 – Do you want to build a snowman? How about meeting fun characters like Elsa and Anna? Join us December 4, 2022 at the museum as ACM’s Hands-on Holidays event returns for the whole family from 10 a.m. to 3:30 pm. Enjoy visits from the North Pole, someone green and Grinchy and the Snow Sisters, performances by Hyre CLC’s carolers, Sprinkle Cookies in Grammie’s Kitchen, Interactive S.T.E.M. stations, build a wooden craft with Tallmadge Builders Club - GPD Foundation Maker Space, Snowman bowling- Quake, Rattle & Roll, Face Painting in Derbytown, Holiday tunes by Found Sounds Steel Drum Band and SO MUCH MORE! 

There’s fun for adults as well, who can sign up for the holiday canvas painting experience, participate in a community service project, and pick up items in the Monster Shop for the holidays! 

The Akron Children’s Museum will also be holding a Fuzzy Sock Drive at this event. All new items collected for children birth to 18 years old will be given to children at Summit County Children’s Services’ foster and kinship programs “ACM’s goal is to be the community’s go-to place for fun, learning, exploration, and memory-making,” said Traci Buckner, Executive Director of the Children’s Museum. “We welcome volunteers who want to be part of this magical day! Tickets to this event are $10 per adult, $12 per child and museum members receive $2 off the ticket price.
