April 12, 2022 - Akron, OH: The 3rd annual The Drip Drive: Greater Akron Coffee Experience launches on Monday, April 18, 2022 – Tax Day! Featuring 20 official stops, The Drip Drive is presented by the Akron/Summit Convention & Visitors Bureau (ASCVB) in partnership with the coffee shops.
“The Drip Drive has been a terrific way to support local businesses while getting visitors and residents moving about within our communities,” states Jim Mahon, Vice President of Marketing & Brand Management for the ASCVB. “In addition to enjoying their trip along The Drip Drive, we want people to look left, and then right when exiting a coffee shop to discover other great dining, retail and entertainment locations,” Mahon adds.
The 2022 official stops, include: Akron Coffee Roasters, Angel Falls Coffee Company, Artisan Coffee (2 locations), Asterisk Coffee Bar, The Beanhead Brothers, Café Arnone, Compass, Crimson Cup Coffee Shop, Evelyn's Coffee, Heartwood Coffee Roasters, Kave Coffee Bar, Muggswigz Coffee & Tea Co. (2 locations), Nervous Dog (3 locations), Open Door Coffee Company, Therapy Ice Cream & Coffee Bar (New for 2022), and Yada Yada Café (New for 2022).
Participants must visit a minimum of 16 of the 20 official stops to qualify for a chance to win the $500 Greater Akron Experience Package; each person who completes the Drive will receive a limited-edition 2022 coffee mug.
