Reopening Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at 12 p.m.
The Library Shop at Main, operated by the Friends of Main Library of the Akron-Summit County Public Library sells gently-used books, soft drinks, greeting cards and other unique merchandise. All profits help support the library in community programming and other funding. If you work downtown, it’s a great lunch hour visit.
The shop is located on the second floor of main library next to the Culture & AV Division near the information/security desk. The sales associates and book sorters are all volunteers. Anyone interested in volunteering can visit the Library Shop during open hours to pick up a volunteer application. Or, find one online at www.akronlibrary.org/locations/main-library/library-shop-at-main. Applications are also available by calling 330-643-9070.
We welcome donations of gently used books, cd’s, audio books and DVD’s. You may bring the items to the Library Shop when it is open, or when the shop is closed you may leave the items at the Circulation Counter. If you have a large donation (more than one box), please follow the instructions for delivery to the library receiving area. Hours and instructions for delivery are noted on the website above.
