A shared meal in the heart of downtown Akron. Free and open to all!
Join Civic Saturday Akron for The Longest Table, a free community potluck bringing Akronites together for food and conversation.
Bring a dish to share — homemade or store-bought, simple or special. Can’t bring a dish? Come anyway and fix yourself a plate! There is plenty to go around, and everyone is welcome at the table.

⏰ Time: 12:30 PM find your seat, lunch 1:00–3:00 PM
📍 Location: Lock 3 on Main Street, downtown Akron
In case of rain, we will gather on April 26— same time and place.
What to Expect
part potluck, part community gathering, and part civic celebration
Long tables will stretch along the sidewalk above Lock 3, where we'll gather for good food and good company.
Table Hosts invite guests, coordinating with them to bring food for their table. Open seats at every table welcome folks who come on their own. A Community Table offers shared abundance from many kitchens.
Whether you arrive with a dish, a friend, or simply with curiosity, there is a place for you!
The Potluck
We invite you to bring a dish to the table— homemade or store-bought, anything is perfect!
Consider something with simple ingredients that everyone can enjoy. Ideas include:
• casseroles or pasta dishes
• salads or sides
• cookies or desserts
• fruit
• bread
• non-alcoholic drinks like lemonade or iced tea
If possible, please include an ingredients list with your dish, and avoid food allergy triggers like peanuts or shellfish. If you have food allergies, please tell your Table Host ahead of the event, or if coming individually, notify a volunteer at the Welcome Table. Questions? Email civicsaturdayakron@gmail.com

The Community Table will offer extra dishes to share with anyone who would like to try something new.
Our Intention
The Longest Table is about more than a meal. It’s about creating a moment where Akronites who might never otherwise meet sit side by side and share conversation. We believe there is a thread of belonging that ties us all together, and much to discover in the breaking of bread across a community table.
