Pop N Art — a series of FREE community art workshops, culminating in a pop-up gallery experience happening on November 1, at Wild Oscar’s on the Lock 4 level of the Akron Civic Theatre.

The Pop N Art Series is made possible through funding from ArtsNow and the Summit County Land Bank, in partnership with the Akron Black Artist Guild.
Join us for an exciting series of three beginner-friendly art workshops on October 11, 18, and 25, culminating in a Community Gallery Day on November 1. These guided workshops invite participants of all experience levels to explore their creativity in a welcoming, hands-on environment. Class sizes are limited to ensure a personal and engaging experience with local artists.

October 11 – Colors of Memory: Oil Pastel Expressions
Explore the vibrant world of oil pastels with Brennan Cooper, a local artist and mental health professional.
October 18 – Magic in Motion: Paper Marbling for Beginners
Dive into the mesmerizing art of paper marbling with Jenniffer Omaitz of JC Marbling.
October 25 – Step Into Style: Family Tie-Dye Sock Design
Bring your creativity—and your little ones—for this fun, family-friendly class led by fashion designer and entrepreneur Jada Hobson (Jada Renee).
November 1—Community Gallery Day
To close out the series, Wild Oscar’s will transform into a community gallery, showcasing the incredible artwork created during the workshops. Come celebrate local creativity and the artistic spirit of our community!
