Spring 2026 Myers Resident Artist Mike Egan will talk about their art and practice.

Mike is an artist and designer whose bold, vividly colored work draws on rich influences. From printmaking and traditional tattoo aesthetics to folk art and spiritual iconography, his practice explores life, mortality, narrative symbolism, and the stories embedded in our shared human experience. Originally trained in fine art at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, Mike went on to work as a funeral director and embalmer — an experience that profoundly shaped his artistic voice and deep engagement with themes of life and death.
