Marilyn DeFrange, originally from Kent Ohio, has been singing and writing music since childhood.
Not definable in any one genre, Marilyn’s songs can be rhythm and blues, jazzy, rocky, country-reggae and dreamlike-delicate. Marilyn currently is playing with two of the past bandmates from the Kent band, Baby Sirloin. The trio, with Fred Tribuzzo on bass and guitar and Rod Reisman on drums, has a familiar and undeniable chemistry. Collectively, they have played together in a variety of groups, on recording projects and on live radio broadcasts for many years.
Fred has a long musical history with current artist Marilyn DeFrange. The musicality of his collaborative guitar work and his driving bass provide a driving backdrop to her music. His style of playing is both familiar and unique. He also has enjoyed years of collaborations with drummer Rod Reisman. Together, they are a dynamic and powerhouse rhythm section.
Rod Reisman is an accomplished percussionist, working drummer and teacher. He is sought after regionally and often the drummer of choice for many local musicians. Dynamic, tasteful and driving are just some of the words used to describe his well rounded style of playing.
We’ve just added Terry Hynde on sax and keys. Currently part of Numbers band, Terry shares this history with Rod and Fred who formally played in 15-16-75. The members of the band have all worked on musical projects with Terry over the years .
