Akron Soul Train, a 2024 Knight New Work grant recipient, is pleased to present Inflection, an immersive audiovisual experience developed by Pittsburgh-based interactive and multisensory artist Ian Brill with musical accompaniment by Akron jazz musician Theron Brown. The exhibition will open with a free public reception on Saturday, May 23, from 5–7 PM.
Located at Outside the Box at TrueNorth Akron (110 North Main Street, Northside District), Inflection transforms an industrial cargo container into a dynamic, multisensory environment. Through custom-designed LED fixtures and mirrored walls, Brill creates an illusion of infinite depth, where light unfolds in diffusive, rhythmic gestures—receding and emerging in a continuous visual dialogue.
