A Myers Residency exhibition in the Projects Gallery.
Featuring the work of ceramic artist / designer / education Austin Coudriet and ceramic artist / educator Sarah Anderson.
From Coudriet’s artist statement: “My studio practice is an ongoing tactile conversation between soft amorphous forms and rigid linear components. Rejecting the binary conception that an object is either functional or sculptural I largely create dysfunctional vessels and functional sculptures.”
From Anderson’s bio: “Sarah Anderson is a full time ceramic artist that creates illustrative characters on the surface of clay through the use of sgraffito. Bright colors and exaggerated creatures are obvious statements in her work, creating a uniquely identifiable brand for herself.”
