The University of Akron Theatre presents Dynamo by Eugene O’Neill, October 15-17 at 7:30 p.m. in Sandefur Theatre.

Written by one of America’s most influential playwrights and directed by Terence Cranendonk, Dynamo follows two neighboring families divided by their beliefs: one rooted in religion and the other in science and reason. As those beliefs collide, the play explores questions of faith, family, love, and the search for something greater than ourselves.

WHEN:
October 15-17, 2026 7:30 p.m.

WHERE:
Sandefur Theatre
288 Buchtel Avenue
Guzzetta Hall, University of Akron

ABOUT THE PLAY:
Dynamo examines the tension between faith and reason through the lives of two families and the young people caught between them. Nearly a century after O’Neill wrote the play, its questions about belief, identity, family expectations, and human connection continue to resonate.
