The renowned Bread & Puppet Theater returns with its one-of-a-kind circus performance, blending the serious and the silly through giant puppets, live music, and lively pageantry. This year’s show explores themes of renewal and community care, drawing inspiration from 14th-century medieval mystery plays and the ongoing tradition of Bread & Puppet’s iconic artistry.
Audiences will encounter a colorful array of characters – from playful butterflies and wise green frogs to soaring cranes – all brought to life through the company’s signature large-scale puppetry and storytelling.
After each performance, guests are invited to enjoy Bread & Puppet’s famous sourdough rye bread served with aioli. “Cheap Art” – including books, posters, postcards, pamphlets, and banners created by the Bread & Puppet Press – will also be available for purchase.
