Daryl Tol is President of Health Assurance Transformation Company (HATCo), a platform created by global investment and transformation company General Catalyst to transform health systems into resilient, vibrant organizations. In partnership with leading technology companies, HATCo aims to achieve the promise of GC’s vision for health assurance: evolving healthcare from a “sick care” system to a proactive system designed to help people stay well, and make quality care more affordable and more accessible to all.
Daryl is responsible for driving, operationalizing, and expanding HATCo Services, a network of strategic partnerships with 23+ health systems and GC portfolio companies to share best practices, provide strategic advisory services, and scale impact to effect lasting change in the U.S. healthcare industry. In addition, HATCo has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Summa Health, to create a new system of community-based, lifelong healthcare to serve as a blueprint for broader healthcare transformation in the US and beyond. Daryl is leading the integration and transformation planning with Summa Health to fulfill that vision.
Having served most recently as president/CEO of AdventHealth, a non-profit health care system serving millions of patients annually, Daryl has deep healthcare experience, giving him a unique insider’s perspective.
Daryl received his BS in business administration and management from Walla Walla University and received his MS in healthcare administration from Loma Linda University.
