The Akron City Gospel Singers is based in the rich tradition of gospel song and will enhance the lives of many - providing fellowship between diverse families within our community, consisting of both youth and adults, ages 13+. Conducted by Akron local Jaron M. LeGrair, a degreed community leader, dynamic musician, educator and vocalist. He has devoted his career to spreading the love of music throughout the community and has a passion for gospel song. SCS also utilizes Marquis Brown and Joshua Porter as accompanying pianists.

The Akron City Gospel Singers have free, open rehearsals and performances on select Saturdays.

This will not impact choral placement within the organization.
