Celebrate Akron’s Bicentennial with a One-of-a-Kind Canalway Food & History Tour!

Step back in time and experience Akron like never before on this immersive journey through its earliest days to its vibrant present! Starting at Lock 1, where the city was first laid out in 1825, we’ll follow the historic canalway, indulging in mouthwatering food stops along the way.

Explore hidden gems like the Richard Howe House, visit the newly re-opened Lock 3, and dive into Akron’s past at the brand-new Akron History Center. As we stroll along Main Street, we’ll take in some more incredible eateries and art stops and shops that often go unnoticed.

We’ll then ascend to the historic courthouse, where stunning architecture, monuments and public art tell the stories of the city’s evolution. Finally, we return to Main Street for one last delicious food stop and a decadent dessert to wrap up this unforgettable experience.
