About This Plan
The Downtown Akron Vision and Redevelopment Plan Update will recalibrate the plan for Downtown Akron based on completed projects, current initiatives, and new community ambitions. Plan 2022+ kicked off in fall 2022 and is expected to be completed in 2023.
The plan update is intended to uncover and highlight market opportunities, new or revised policy recommendations, and new or revised catalytic projects. The plan update will be an addendum to the existing plan but will include a new strategic implementation section to reflect changes and updates.
