Akron Zoo Offering New Virtual Reality Experience

April 20, 2022, AKRON, Ohio – The Akron Zoo is now offering a virtual reality experience for its guests, in partnership with Immotion. The Undersea Explorer is located in Curious Creatures in the zoo’s Komodo Kingdom building.

During the VR experience, guests will go diving with sharks for a five-minute-long adventure that includes motion seats. Guests can purchase tickets for $7 per person.

The Akron Zoo is open 361 days a year. Summer hours are 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Admission is $14 for adults, $12 for seniors 62 and older and $11 for children ages two – 14. Children under two are free and parking is $5. For more information visit www.akronzoo.org or call (330) 375-2550.
