The next Artwalk is Saturday, September 4!Zenith Award

Experience local art, live music and fun for all ages at the award-winning artwalk in Downtown Akron. Galleries are located in the Northside District, North High Street, East & West Market Street and Main Street.

This month, enjoy live music by Tom Guarino in the Car Gear parking lot from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and by Zach on High Street from 7-9 p.m.

15 Year First Night Celebration
In celebration of the 15th year of First Night Akron, we will begin selling a 15 Year admission button for $15 that allows people entry to 15 different arts and culture events in the community (including First Night) from October 2010-April 2011. The buttons will be on sale at the Artwalks, online and at a variety of stores and locations throughout the community. Visit the First Night tables near Car Gear and at High Street to purchase your buttons at the Artwalk.

Special presentations of the First Night 15 Year Button Art will be made at 6 p.m. in the Car Gear parking lot and at 8 p.m. on High Street. Come take a look at the unique button art and be one of the first people to purchase your 15 Year admission button! The person who purchases the 15th button will receive 2 complementary tickets to the GroundWorks DanceTheater performance at 8 p.m. at the Icehouse Complex in Downtown Akron that evening.
 
Find the First Night tables near Car Gear and at High Street to become a First Night artist with the First Night 15 Craft! Design your own number 15 that will be on display at First Night on Friday, December 31, 2010!

The November Artwalk will be held on Saturday, November 6.
The December Artwalk will be held on Saturday, December 4.

Artwalk Information
On the first Saturday of each month the Artwalk features nearly two dozen destinations for art, shopping, dining and entertainment with offerings that fit every budget. Hand-blown glass, pottery, ceramic, paintings, textiles, jewelry and eclectic house wares all dot the footprint of this spectacular monthly event. The participating spaces change every month, as do the exhibitions, food and entertainment. Each month is a unique experience and a wonderful opportunity to meet the artists that make Downtown a culturally and artistically vibrant community.

The City of Akron's free trolley service runs the entire route, making shopping convenient and parking painless. Trolley service begins at 5 p.m. and runs through 10 p.m. with destinations opening their doors between 5 and 6 p.m. Many Artwalk patrons make a night out of their visit to Downtown by enjoying a dinner at a Downtown restaurants as they peruse the galleries.
