Experience local art, live music and fun for all ages at the award-winning artwalk in Downtown Akron. Galleries are located in the Northside District, North High Street, East & West Market Street and Main Street.

Win a piece of art at the February Artwalk!
Occasionally, the Artwalk artists spice up the evening festivities by offering a piece of art that may be won by collecting stamps at various artwalk locations. For February, artists Michael Martell and Claudia Zeber-Martell have donated “Red Hot for Valentine’s Day” an eight-inch, handmade, earthenware, square plate that comes with a large, red, scented pillar candle. To enter to win, artwalkers collect stamps on their trolley/artwalk map as they visit the various locations. Maps are turned in to the trolley driver, and a drawing is held at the end of the evening to award the prize. Stop in to Zeber-Martell studio to see the art and meet the artists themselves. Paired with the beautiful art will be a set of two tickets to an Akron Symphony Concert courtesy of Jessie Raynor at the Akron Area Arts Alliance.
Artwalk Information
On the first Saturday of each month the Artwalk features nearly two dozen destinations for art, shopping, dining and entertainment with offerings that fit every budget. Hand-blown glass, pottery, ceramic, paintings, textiles, jewelry and eclectic house wares all dot the footprint of this spectacular monthly event. The participating spaces change every month, as do the exhibitions, food and entertainment. Each month is a unique experience and a wonderful opportunity to meet the artists that make Downtown a culturally and artistically vibrant community.
The City of Akron's free trolley service runs the entire route, making shopping convenient and parking painless. Trolley service begins at 5 p.m. and runs through 10 p.m. with destinations opening their doors between 5 and 6 p.m. Many Artwalk patrons make a night out of their visit to Downtown by enjoying a dinner at a Downtown restaurants as they peruse the galleries.
