Air travel to Downtown Akron is best served by the Akron-Canton Airport and Cleveland Hopkins Airport.
The Akron-Canton Airport is one of the fastest growing airports in the country. According to US Department of Transportation statistics, Akron-Canton was the second fastest growing airport in the nation from 2001-2004, increasing capacity (as measured by increased seats) by more than 100 percent.
That growth is largely attributable to the expansion of low fare flights offered by industry juggernaut AirTran Airways at CAK. With nearby parking, shorter lines and less crowds and confusion, it provides a clean, safe and convenient choice when you’re flying into or out of the Akron area.
The Cleveland Hopkins International Airport is committed to offering safe and efficient air service to the traveling public, and world-class hospitality in our clean and welcoming facilities. Cleveland Hopkins is the largest commercial airport in Northeast Ohio, serving almost 12 million passengers annually.
