HOURS: The Perkins Stone Mansion, home of Akron's founding family, will be open for tours starting April 6, 2011 on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 1-4:00 p.m.

Founded in 1924, the mission of the Summit County Historical Society, a 501(c)3 corporation, is to preserve and interpret the history of Summit County and Akron, and to educate regional communities about the people and events that have shaped our rich history.

The Perkins Stone Mansion, home of Akron's founding family, will be open for tours starting April 6, 2011 on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 1-4:00 p.m.

The John Brown House, the Akron home of the renowned abolitionist, will be open on select dates throughout the year.

The Old Stone School will have an open house in May 2011.
