About the Classes:

Improv FUNdamentals
“Yes, and…”

Theatrical improvisation provides students with a set of unique skills that allows them to create something out of nothing; using no more than expression, experience and collaboration. Improvisation is a fun and engaging way to explore imagination, grow confidence and develop social skills.

Using a series of high energy games, exercises and simple scenes, students will learn the basics of “thinking on their feet” as they hone their creativity, critical thinking, collaboration and communication.

*There will be a final performance held on Saturday, November 18th*

Devise & Conquer

"Theatre is immediate, it's alive..."
- Kim Cattrall

Theatre is collaboration. By working together students learn to celebrate diversity as they discover the power of positive relationships and engagement of their collective imaginations.

In this class, students will begin to learn the basics of devised theatre. Through weekly ensemble exercises, play-building lessons and feedback sessions, students will work on their feet to explore ideas that resonate with the group. This work will culminate in a final performance.

*There will be a final performance held on Saturday, November 18th*

Let's Play Pretend! (A Drop-In Class)

Theatre is play.

Children constantly use their imaginations to create something out of nothing. Their lives are ones of theatricality and experimentation, discovering their world and themselves through play.

Drop in to this weekly class and explore the world of theatre through the eyes of a child... Let’s Play! uses theatrical concepts (such as: movement, voice, imagination, costumes, props) to facilitate physical, social & emotional development in your young performer. Designed for children ages 3 - 5, the class incorporates songs, stories and activities that use imaginative play as a foundation for learning.

Each parent/gaurdian will stay with their child during the program and help them through the games and activities geared to prepare their little one for preschool and beyond.
