National Anthem auditions set for March 18

The Akron RubberDucks are seeking talented singers to tryout at its national anthem auditions on March 18 from 10 a.m. to noon at Canal Park. Pre-registration is required.

For a chance to sing the “Star-Spangled Banner” at one of the RubberDucks 70 home games, candidates will need to impress four local music professionals and educators in addition to the RubberDucks staff.

“The singing of the national anthem is one of baseball’s great traditions,” said promotions manager Christina Urycki. “Every year we get a great group of candidates, so we are looking for fans who can really impress!”
