Keep Akron Beautiful (KAB) is hosting “Green the Scene,” a fundraiser party on Wednesday, August 29 from 5-8:30 p.m. in the Bud and Susie Rogers Garden, located at the Akron Art Museum. Tickets for the event are $45 and may be purchased online at https://bit.ly/greenthescenetickets or by phone at 330-375-2116 ext 5. Tickets are on sale until August 28, 2018.
Price of admission includes an open beer and wine bar, soft drinks, valet parking, as well as catering provided by the Swenson’s Food Truck. Proceeds raised through Green the Scene will benefit Keep Akron Beautiful’s Litter Reduction & Beautification Programs, including Litter and Illegal Dump Cleanups, Flowerscape, and Graffiti Wipeout.
Those interested in the auction and/or donating, but cannot attend the event, are able to virtually bid on silent auction items on the event’s auction site https://bidpal.net/greenthescene from now until the auction closes on August 29 at 8:00 p.m.
A live auction will give guests the chance to win a weeklong stay at a Chautauqua Lake home on 11 acres; a personalized landscape plan and installation from KAB’s own Flowerscape director, Leah Heiser, a Police-Ride-Along with the Akron Police Department and more. A silent auction will also take place offering a wide variety of prizes ranging from a Don Drumm wall art piece, to several pairs of sporting event tickets, to a stay at The Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake.
