Celebrate the 12th National Dump the Pump Day with METRO Regional Transit Authority on June 15

Ride select routes free and attend the Dump the Pump party at the Robert K. Pfaff Transit Center.Pfaff Transit Center.

The 12th National Dump the Pump Day is Thursday, June 15, 2017. METRO is encouraging the community to dump the pump by offering free fares for line-service and Northcoast Express routes. Free fares are not valid on METRO SCAT or Call-A-Bus.

Additionally, there will be a Dump the Pump celebration the same day, June 15 at the Robert K. Pfaff Transit Center (631 S. Broadway St. in Akron) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It will feature a live DJ, area vendors, giveaways (while supplies last), and more. The Urbean Café will grill out (weather pending) and have food for sale. During the event, there will be a special tri-county announcement by METRO RTA, Portage Area Regional Transit Authority, and Stark Area Regional Transit Authority at 11 a.m.Pfaff Transit Center (631 S. It shows the importance of public transit to communities and underlines the environmental and energy benefits that come from public transportation.
