Eat like an animal at the Akron Zoo’s new event, A Wild Appetite, on Saturday, April 14 from 6:30 – 9 p.m. The event will feature a gourmet five-course meal, with each course inspired by the diets of select Akron Zoo animals, such as the Sumatran tiger, Galapagos tortoise and more. Advanced registration is required, and spots are limited.\
Tickets to the event include the five-course meal, two drink vouchers and an animal encounter. Akron Zoo keepers will also present with each course on the importance of food selection – the origins and conservation – that impacts each species.
Ticket prices are $65 for Akron Zoo members and $70 for non-members. Tickets are available online at akronzoo.org/a-wild-appetite or at the Akron Zoo box office. A Wild Appetite has limited capacity, so tickets must be purchased in advance.
The Akron Zoo is open 361 days a year. Summer season starts April 1. Hours are 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and admission is $12 for adults, $10 for senior citizens, $9 for children (ages 2-14). Children under two are free and parking is $3. For more information visit www.akronzoo.org or call (330) 375-2550.
