Friday, June 4, 7 pm at the Akron Art Museum
On Friday, June 4 from 7 – 9 pm, the Akron Art Museum will host a combined opening party for the upcoming summer exhibitions Detroit Disassembled: Photographs by Andrew Moore and Arctic Re-visions: Isaac Julien’s True North.
The “Urban/Arctic: Choose Your Adventure” Opening Party offers guests the chance to see the exhibitions before they officially open to the public on Saturday, June 5. Local sensation DJ Moose Malloy will also spin Motown favorites while attendees enjoy foods with a Detroit flavor and chill down with snow cones in both regular and “adult” flavors. A cash bar will be offered.
This is a free event for museum members - $10 tickets available at the door for non-members, $6 for Western Reserve PBS members. More information on both exhibitions can be found at www.AkronArtMuseum.org/exhibitions. For more information on the opening party call 330.376.9186 x222.
The Opening Party is supported by a generous gift from Mr. and Mrs. Robert Weisberger.
