
Cascade Locks Park Association’s (CLPA) is holding Canal Day Arts Festival and Duck Derby, July 3rd, 2010 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Mustill Store yard and will include local artists and crafters, food vendors, musical entertainment by Hey Mavis, and the second annual rubber duck derby.
Ducks are $5 each or $20 for 5 ducks for the “Big Race”, prizes given for 1st through 10th place and last place. There will also be a “50/50 Race” where the winner will receive half the proceeds of the race; ducks for this race are $10 each.

Cascade Locks Park is located just minutes north of downtown Akron. Parking is available at the Cascade Valley Trailhead, located on North Street just west of the intersection of North Howard and North Street. Nestled between locks 10-16 of the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail, it is the perfect place to enjoy nature without leaving the city.
