Doors opened Tuesday at The Bakery at Hattie's Cafe in Downtown Akron. All bakery items that the other Hattie's Cafes in the area sell will be prepared at The Bakery.
At 209 S. Main St., The Bakery also will sell fresh-baked goods — as well as salads, sandwiches, wraps and other items. Hours of operation are from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Hattie's Cafes first opened in 2006 and offer employment opportunities to people with developmental disabilities. For more information about the Hattie Larlham organization, go to www.hattielarlham.org.
