Summit County Executive Russell M. Pry and Attorney General Richard Cordray will partner this week to focus on Summit County Financial Wellness.
Since January 2009, the Attorney General’s Office has received approximately 24,790 consumer complaints, which is on track to far surpass complaints filed in 2008. With approximately 1,017 complaints filed this year, Summit County ranks fourth in counties with the most complaints, following Franklin, Cuyahoga and Hamilton. These include complaints about foreclosure, debt relief services and consumer scams.
In an effort to address Summit County residents’ most pressing financial and consumer needs, Pry and Cordray will join forces to kick off Summit County Financial Wellness Week.
Events are being sponsored by Summit County Executive Russell M. Pry's Summit 2010: A Quality of Life Project, Financial Literacy Committee. For a Summit County Financial Wellness Week event calendar visit the County of Summit Office of Consumer Affairs website, www.co.summit.oh.us/conaffairs.htm.
