

In the past, it has been the rich and the famous that have been immortalized. Politicians, moguls, Hollywood stars often find themselves the subject of biography or memoir - but everyone has a story to tell and sometimes the most interesting remembrances come from everyday people living regular lives.
StoryCorps, the Peabody Award-winning oral history project returns to Northeast Ohio with its mobile recording studio from Aug. 27 to Sept. 19. The iconic Airstream trailer will be in residence on S. Main St. in front of the Akron-Summit County Library in order to collect intriguing stories from community members. Some will be used as part of StoryCorps' ongoing segment on NPR's Morning Edition and all will be preserved in the Library of Congress in Washington, DC.
