Everyone is invited to join Santa Claus as he takes a break from his busy holiday schedule to visit the 28th Annual Holiday Tree Festival at John S. Knight Center, 77 E. Mill St., Akron.
Breakfast with Santa will be Nov. 21, and Nov. 28 from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
The mornings will include a breakfast buffet, holiday sing-a-longs and visits from special holiday friends. Pictures with Santa Claus will also be available for a nominal fee. After breakfast, visitors can stroll through the display of decorated trees, wreaths and other holiday creations.
On Nov. 21, children will parade with Santa and Mrs. Claus to the ribbon cutting ceremony at 9:45 a.m. to open the 28th Annual Holiday Tree Festival.
Tickets for Breakfast with Santa are $14 for age 13 to adults and $10 for children ages 4 to 12. Children 3 and under are free. Deadline for reservations is Nov. 13. Seating is limited and advance reservations are necessary both days. Reservations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis.

The 28th Holiday Tree Festival runs from Nov. 21 through Nov. 29 at the John S. Knight Center in downtown Akron.

Akron Children's Hospital presents the 28th Annual Holiday Tree Festival Preview Gala at the John S. Knight Center on Nov. 20 at 5:30 p.m.
The event will honor the 30th anniversary of William H. Considine, CEO and President of Akron Children's Hospital.
A brilliant display of lights, sounds and cheer set the stage for Gala guests to usher in the holidays at a traditional Akron event. Those in attendance will have the first opportunity to view and purchase more than 300 custom-decorated trees, wreaths and holiday items before the Festival opens its doors to the general public Nov. 21. All items on display are donated by local corporations, groups and individuals.
The evening will also include hors d' oeuvres, a cash bar and a silent auction beginning at 5:30 p.m. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m. followed by a Grand Dessert display that tops off the enchanting holiday extravaganza.
All proceeds from this event benefit the continued efforts of medical research, education, and patient care programs at Akron Children's Hospital.
Tickets to the Preview Gala and Dinner can be purchased through the Akron Children's Hospital Foundation for $130 per person. Dessert only tickets are available for $30 per person.
