Join the Ryan Humbert Band for this special holiday-themed show to benefit the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank. Humbert and a 13-piece acoustic band will be performing Humbert’s original songs, seasonal classics as well as covers of songs by The Beatles, Frank Sinatra, Elton John, INXS and more. Aside from members of his regular band, Humbert will have a percussionist, backup singers and a string quartet, led be violinist Michael Houff.

The show will take place on the historic stage at the Akron Civic Theatre, located at 182 South Main Street in downtown Akron.

“I think it’s every musician in Akron’s dream to play at The Akron Civic. Not only am I thrilled that we have this opportunity, but also thrilled we’ll be able to do so for such a great cause,“ Humbert said. “The Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank does fantastic work and I speak for the whole band when I say that we’re proud to support that.”

The Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank will be celebrating the end of their annual 'Long Haul Against Hunger’ food drive by collecting non-perishable food, canned goods and financial contributions outside the Civic the day of show.

“It’s exciting for the Civic to be able to bring in local talent like Ryan, as well as give back to the Foodbank,” said Howard Parr, Executive Director of the Akron Civic. “Hosting an event like this is good for the community and everyone involved. Hopefully it will help shine an even brighter light on what the Foodbank does.”

“We appreciate the enthusiasm and support from Ryan and the Akron Civic as they put this event together,“ said Dan Flowers, president and CEO of the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank. “Community involvement like this will help feed many hungry families this holiday season.”

The show is being sponsored by The Verge Building, located in lower downtown Akron. Special assistance provided by The Greater Akron Chamber of Commerce.
