Akron, Ohio - Time Warner Cable will replay the Seventh Annual Road Runner Akron Marathon on the Northeast Ohio Network (NEON) channel 23. One of the fastest growing marathons in the country, the race will be held Saturday, Sept. 26 at 7 a.m.
The Road Runner Akron Marathon will be televised on NEON per the following schedule:
* Wednesday, Sept. 30, and October 7, 7 p.m.
* Thursday, Oct. 1 and 8, 7 p.m.
* Saturday, Oct. 3 and 10, 1 p.m.
* Sunday, Oct. 4 and 11, 8 p.m.
The race can also be viewed on Local On Demand channel 1 or 501.
Time Warner Cable has teamed with EXERCISE TV, a free on demand channel, to promote health and fitness. The Time Warner Cable booth will feature an interactive product trailer on Friday, Sept. 25, at the Health Expo at the John S. Knight Center in downtown Akron.
Marathoners can enter to win a “race-to-the-finish” prize package and play Nintendo’s Wii Fit. They can also spin a prize wheel for a chance to win first-aid kits, sunglasses, back massagers, water bottles and more. In addition, all marathoners will receive a free, 10-minute workout download in their registration bag.
