October 2011 Sunday Sampler Features Free Art Events In Downtown Akron

The Akron Art Museum teams up with the Akron-Summit County Public Library and Summit Artspace for a day of free family events during October’s Sunday Sampler.

At the Akron Art Museum, open 11 am – 5 pm, enjoy free gallery admission to the collection and special exhibitions. This is the last day to see Kaleidoscope Quilts: The Art of Paula Nadelstern and The Dorothy and Herbert Vogel Collection: Fifty Works for Ohio. Gallery admission is required for Kaleidoscope Quilts: The Art of Paula Nadelstern ($7 adults; $5 seniors and students; members and children 12 and under free). Summit Artspace will be open from 12 – 5 pm and will feature Akron Society of Artists 80th Anniversary Show.
