Metro Holds Open House to Discuss Route Changes

METRO will hold two open house meetings on Tuesday, June 29 in Downtown Akron to discuss route changes slated for the fall schedule.

12 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. & 5 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
METRO’s Transit Center, Akron

Potential changes could go into effect in late August and are as follows:

  • Route #18 Thornton/Manchester – Extend route service from Acme to Novus Clinic on Manchester Road and Kiwanis Towers on Portage Lakes Drive, and;
  • Route #23 Portage/Graham – Extend route service to the Akron General Medical Center on Lakepointe Corporate Drive
  • Route #28 Merriman Valley – Eliminate loop section of route circulating on Eaglenest Ave.
