Looking for something to do before or after the Akron Zips game on Saturday, October 23? The game starts at 3:30 p.m. so come Downtown to Main Street between Cedar and Exchange for a block party complete with great music, drink specials, raffles, beer pong tournaments, corn hole and more from 1 - 10 p.m. Beer sales will be provided by The Thirsty Dog for those who are 21 and older, but the event is open to all ages, even if you’re not a student.
There is a $3 admission charge to enter the block party and all proceeds will benefit the Community Aids Network. Great live music will be provided by Red is Cover, Kyle Magilavy, Mr. Maze, Rachel Roberts, The Heights Band and Funk Country Store. This event is sponsored by Jimmy John’s, Diamond Deli, Jimmy’s, Brubakers, Tear-Ez, DaVinci’s Pizza and the 22 Exchange building. Get outside and enjoy Downtown before the end of the year. Halloween costumes are welcome! Main Street will be closed for this event.
