Downtown Akron will swing with the sounds of jazz and blues as the city continues the exciting night life at its new Lock 4 stage.
Part II of our series of four concerts on consecutive Wednesday nights comes tomorrow…
The LockBottom Blues & Jazz Club presents Aces and Eights on Wednesday, August 18.
The Wallace Coleman Band performs August 25, and blues songstress Peggy Coyle and her Jazz trio are on hand for the September 1 event.
Lock 4 is “down under” Bowery Street, adjacent to the city’s popular concert venue Lock 3, and is connected directly to the Cascade Parking Garage, which provides direct access to Lock 4 from level two (orange). Walkways from Bowery Street and from Lock 3 are other entrances to the event.
Food and beverage service will be available for purchase. Admission to the concerts is free, and is supported by the City of Akron, together with funds from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, given in support of performing artists at Lock 3 this summer.
