Cuyahoga Falls resident Lucy Bueno has been awarded the 2010 winner of Maid Service for a Year from Jo Ann’s professional Touch Events. Lucy received over 30 nominations, a phenomenal amount of love and support as she continues her 3 year battle with ovarian cancer. Lucy's perseverance is admired by her family and co-workers, as she continues to work 20+ hours a week as a pediatric triage nurse at Akron Children's Hospital. “Mom continues to give of herself to others by helping her friends when they need it or volunteering through her church. Above all, what I love is that she has a positive outlook on life and a great sense of humor. Even when the rest of us are upset because of her struggles, she finds a way to lighten the mood by cracking a joke. When I asked Mom about having some of her family help clean her house, she said she felt bad asking. Lucy said, ‘I don't even like to clean my house, so how can I ask them to do it?’” said daughter Kimberly.
