January Sunday Sampler Features Free Art Events In Downtown Akron

The Akron Art Museum teams up with the Akron-Summit County Public Library and Summit Artspace for a day of free family events during January’s Sunday Sampler.

At the Akron Art Museum, open 11 am – 5 pm, enjoy free gallery admission, including admission to the exhibitions Who Shot Rock & Roll: A Photographic History, 1955 to the Present and Culture Revolution: Contemporary Chinese Paintings from the Allen Memorial Art Museum. The Akron-Summit County Public Library will be open from 1 – 5 pm. In the Special Collections Department, the Getting Started in Family History exhibit will be on display. There will also be Crafts to Go in the 3rd floor Teen Division, as well as Story Time Sampler in the Children’s Library at 2 pm. Summit Artspace will be open from 1 – 5 pm and will feature an exhibition of paintings and artwork by Akron Society of Artists members. Artist demonstrations will also take place between 1 – 3 pm. For more information visit www.summitartspace.org or call 330.376.8480.
