Hattie Larlham Opens New Cafe at Canal Place

Hattie Larlham will celebrate the Grand Opening of their new Hattie’s Canal Place Café with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 3, 2009 at historic Canal Place in downtown Akron. The Hattie’s Café team is excited about the opening of their newly remodeled café at 520 S. Main St. located on the 5th floor of building 24. It was formerly known as the Ole Main-Café. The new café will provide a totally different venue hosting a variety of individual shops with foods made fresh daily. Hattie’s Canal Place Café will offer gourmet treats such as old fashioned sodas & milk shakes, fair trade coffee, breakfast items, fresh baked goods, delicious Panini-grilled sandwiches, burgers, fries, pizza, salad bar, mouth-watering chocolates made for Hattie Larlham by Honadle’s Fine Candies of Hudson, a gift shop and many other fun surprises. 

Hattie’s Canal Place Café will be open to the general public with operating hours from 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Established in 1961, Hattie Larlham is a Mantua, Ohio, nonprofit organization that provides services throughout the state to 1,500 children and adults with mental retardation and developmental disabilities.
