Fundraiser in honor of Michael Beal at The Lockview in Downtown Akron

Beal Fundraiser ImageIn collaboration with event organizer Robert Rabb, The Lockview will host a fundraiser in honor of Michael Beal on Sunday, January 17, 2010, 2-10 p.m. Michael passed away at the age of 33 on November 23, 2009 after an accident at work. A Cuyahoga Falls native, he owned his own business, the moving company Always Moving. Michael was a father, husband, son, friend and role model.

Local artists, merchants, friends and family have contributed in honorarium. The event will feature 50/50 raffles and silent raffles throughout the day. Guests are asked to pay a $10 cover charge. All proceeds will go directly to Michael Beal’s wife and two young daughters. The Lockview’s kitchen and bar will be open and guests will receive $2 of every gourmet grilled cheese sold will be donated to the family as well.  Local musicians that will be playing that day include Rachel Roberts, Mike Lenz, Kristine Jackson and Flyin Jays as well as many more. Generous donations for the raffles include items from Arkham Tattoo, Retz’s Laconi’s, KC Coffee and many more.
