German composer Nikolaus Gerszewski will be stopping by the Akron Art Museum for a free “impromptu” concert on Friday, April 9, 2010 at 12 p.m. in the Charles and Jane Lehner Auditorium.
Gerszewski will be in Northeast Ohio to attend the world premiere of his new work, Conference for Percussion Sextet, at the Kent State University New Music Festival. During his performance at the museum, the composer will be playing piano accompanied by New York City-based percussionist Gustavo Aguilar.
