Fox 8 has released the results of the 2009 Fox 8 Hotlist, featuring the top businesses in the Cleveland and Akron-Canton areas as voted by their viewers.
Among the 1st place winners were several Downtown Akron businesses.
The AkronArt Museum received first place for best museum, Akron Civic Theatre won for best theatre, Noto received the highest number of votes for a women’s boutique, as did Spaghetti Warehouse for the top family restaurant, The Barley House for Irish Pub and Crave for best ‘New American’ restaurant.
Second place honors were given to Luigi’s for best pizza, Diamond Deli for best sandwich shop, 69 Taps for their beer selection, Lux for best dance club, The Interbelt for best gay and lesbian bar and Musica for best live music.
Also receiving votes in the top 5 of their category were The Bang & The Clatter theatre group, Rubber City Clothing, Bricco, Whiskey Dicks/Hue Bar, Vertigo, Tear-ez, Brubakers and Northside.
