Downtown street closings for Friday Holiday Lighting Spectacular

Street Closures Friday, November 23
The following downtown Akron streets will be closed on Friday, November 23 for the City of Akron's Holiday Lighting Spectacular:

• Beginning at 6:00 am:
  • South Main Street between State and Bowery streets
• 6:30 pm until end of event (approximately 7:30 pm):
  • Bowery Street between West Exchange and South Main streets
  • Center Street, between the Innerbelt and Bowery Street
  • Water Street between State and Bowery streets.

About the Holiday Lighting Spectacular

What:    Holiday Lighting Spectacular

When:    Friday, November 23 with live music and stollen (German pastry) cutting ceremony at 6:45 pm, and show starting at 7:00 pm

Where:   200 South Main Street in downtown Akron, in front of Lock 3 Park, between the Akron Civic Theatre and O'Neil's Building. 

Parking is available in the O'Neil's deck and other downtown locations. The O'Neil's deck has a new elevator lobby that was recently installed in the O'Neil's building next to Lock 3 Park, to address accessibility issues. Those who park in the State Street deck can take the elevator down to Lock 3 (and return the same way).

Downtown parking is free after 6 pm, weekends and holidays in all city owned decks and lots. Visit www.holidayfest.org for detailed parking information and map.
