Walk With Your Best Friend for Peace

"Walk With Your Best Friend for Peace" event at Lock 3 in Downtown is a fun event for the entire family, including our 4 legged, furry friends. (non-aggressive dogs only please). To participate in the event, it is $10 to walk with your dog and only an additional $5 to enter your pet into our pet costume contest. This event will include a fun-walk with your furry friend, dog costume contest, raffle, music from Akron Peace Project's co-founder Zach, and reading of an official City of Akron proclamation declaring Sept 25-Oct 2 "Akron Peace Week" and more!! Come help kick off Akron's first annual "Akron Peace Week"

Money raised from this event will help support the Battered Women's Shelter's mission to end the cycle of famiily violence which oftentimes includes pet abuse.
