Presented by faculty from the Center for Conflict Management at the University of Akron, this workshop will be an intentionally designed combination of very brief presentations of core ideas and interactive opportunities to try these ideas on for size, hear others thoughts on the ideas and the sizing, and generally cultivate our curiosity and deepen our thinking about conflict.  Think of the time as a structured antidote to the violent political and cultural spectacles domesticationg our everyday public discourses and a potential opportunity to experience a strong emotional and cognitive encounter with some well-told stories that will help us all learn to more productively prevent, resolve, or reduce the harms associated with the conflicts in our lives.  Independent thinkers and interactive problem solvers who are capable of civil disagreement, and all who aspire to be, are most welcome.
