Celebrating Five Years..."No Muffin Left Behind" Sale to Support the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank
Don’t get left behind when Main Street Gourmet holds its next “No Muffin Left Behind Sale” on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at the Akron Canton Regional Foodbank, located at 350 Opportunity Parkway, Akron, Ohio. The one day only outlet sale hours are from 9:00 am until 12 noon. The No Muffin Left Behind Sale is an event aimed at supporting the Akron Canton Regional Foodbank while liquidating Main Street Gourmet’s overstock, discontinued and imperfect products. These products typically include cookie dough, muffins, muffin batters, brownie sheets and other various bakery products. All products are priced at only $1.25 per pound. They may not be perfect, but they are perfectly delicious! For the past five years, Main Street Gourmet has sold their “off-spec” products to the general public at a discounted price while donating a portion of the proceeds to a local charity. Since 2004, charitable contributions have totaled more than $100,000 in money and product donations. The Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank, (which will receive a portion of the proceeds from this sale), has pledged to end hunger in Summit, Stark, Portage, Medina, Wayne, Holmes, Tuscarawas and Carroll counties, and Main Street Gourmet is doing its part to help. Food distributed by the Foodbank helps feed people throughout all stages of life. From toddlers to senior citizens; the Foodbank is there to help.
